What makes a strong nomination
Be specific about the work. Not that they are a good person, but what they actually built, ran, taught, fixed or carried, and for how long.
Say who benefited. Selection weighs impact on other people’s lives. Name the school, the neighborhood, the congregation, the patients, the staff.
Do not assume anyone already knows. A lot of the strongest honorees are the least visible. Write it as if the committee has never heard the name, because often they have not.
Nominate quietly. You do not have to tell them. Plenty of honorees find out when the call comes.
Start a chapter
in your city
A chapter needs people on the ground who know the community, a venue that can hold a class and their families, and local partners willing to underwrite the first year. If you have two of the three, start the conversation and we will work on the third.
