Get directions
Open any business and tap Apple Maps or Google Maps. Your phone takes it from there.
Save it and say so
Tap the heart to keep a business on your list, then leave a review so the next person knows where to go.
From the marketplace
Shop products made and sold by businesses in the directory.
Know a business that belongs here?
Add it in two minutes. The Blocal team reviews every submission, then it goes live for the whole country to find.

How buying works
You buy from the business itself. Blocal brings you to the door.
Pick what you want
Tap the seller's name on any product to see the business behind it, its reviews and where it is.
Buy now or send a request
Some products open the seller's own checkout. Others go in your cart, and you send the seller an order request.
The seller takes it from there
For order requests, the seller emails you to arrange payment and pickup or shipping. No payment is taken on this page.

The Blocal team reviews it
Every submission is checked by a person before it is published, so the directory stays accurate.
It goes live
Once approved, the business appears in the directory with its distance, directions and reviews.
A resource,on a national scale.
Blocal Search started in Richmond, Virginia, with one goal: make it easy to find and support Black-owned businesses wherever you are.
Where Blocal comes from
Founder Markeisha Harris-Minor has always seen herself as a resource to the people around her. Blocal Search is how she set out to be that resource for a whole country: a nationwide directory and app for locating Black-owned businesses.
The first version listed restaurants, juice bars, beauty supply stores, family dentists and more, in Richmond and in cities across the country.
Blocal at minimum is going to be a directory, but this is going to be a brand that I'm building to really make sure that we're able to have a sustainable community that we've had in the past and be able to create the generational wealth that we all are looking for our families.
